Research by Fugh-Berman suggests that eating sweet, high-fat foods (i.e.ice cream) 20-30 minutes before bed can decrease your calorie burn and increase fat storage whilst you sleep. It is not a good food habit it you are used to eating a lot befoe the supper. Your stomach is less active to digest the food when you sleep. Some body components take rest during this time.
So remember -
- Dont eat a lot before bedtime
- Don’t eat midnight snacks
- Don’t eat any carbs at night
